Danmei I Read in 2019

1. The General is Above (将军在上)
MC is a special forces soldier rebirthed into a 18 years old guy in a sci-fi world. He's exiled from his family because of a crime and because he has a useless contract beast. The story is about him starting over, and it's full of actions and adventures with a light sprinkle of romance.
This book is actually good, and ML is so cute when pursuing MC. It's a pity that the romance is "done" in a rush and the story ends abruptly (MC suddenly accepts ML, and the story ends when MC is just on his first year of school).

2. The Arrogant and Pampered Life of Reborn Su Luo (重生之苏洛的傲娇生活)
Such a long and sloppy story where MC hooks OP ML very early, plays around and charms people left and right, and gets involved in absurd side plots that get resolved in a few words. MC's revenge after rebirth seems to be making all his enemies gay for him. Even the main perpetrator of his previous demise (the nephew) falls in love with him.
The story has lots of typos, which I noticed in a character's name. His name is Su Zhi Lin (霖) but often becomes Su Zhi Shuang (霜). I think the author's other work, The Rebirth of a Nouveau Riche, which is also a rebirth story, is more well-written. The MC is more mature and not as cheesy as that one. The romance is also more romantic and solid.

3. The Marshal's Movie Emperor Lady (元帅的影帝夫人)
The title is so misleading since it's not about MC conquering the movie world at all. It's about psycho MC who reincarnates to find his martial brother (ML) and is saddled with a movie emperor system. Most of the story is about MC having split-personality moments, MC fighting zergs, and MC letting himself bullied despite being so OP.
The zergs are instantly eliminated, but those small canon fodder villains are kept alive until the end of the story. As for the movie emperor plot, MC does become one after staring in his second movie. Actually, it's really just a side plot because his main objection is to heal ML's soul, which will heal his soul in turn.

4. You Continue to Pretend (你继续装)
A rebirth story, although I don't know why MC must rebirth. MC is already in a relationship with ML, and the story's about MC becoming an elite artist agent and his lovey dovey relationship with ML.
It's a bit boring to read because MC's life and career are pretty smooth. There's a dog blood drama, but it's actually outside of MC's or ML's family, so it doesn't affect MC much.

5. His Son Has a Billionaire Dad (他儿子有个亿万首富爹)
The beginning is good; MC gets pregnant not because of a one-night-stand or drunk sex. There's a slight misunderstanding between MC and ML, but it only takes two months before they get back together. Then their sweet, sweet life starts, and the story drags until MC gets pregnant again and has twin girls (ugh). And there's even a paragraph about MC and ML dying in their old age, which I hate to see in an epilogue.
There's one side CP, but their relationship isn't resolved yet. Although the author has said that the CP does end up together.

6. Regarding the Correct Method to Use Jin Dan as Food and Regarding the Way to Conquer an OCD
First story is a silly and sweet story. MC is hilarious and also tenacious when pursuing ML. There're some surprises regarding ML's identity, but it happens near the end.
Second story is a dog blood drama with so many twists and turns, but MC and ML's characteristics make it still a fun read. ML's OCD will definitely make you laugh, and his process when falling in love with MC, which is revealed after so much drama, will make you cry a bit.
How the stories are related:
In the first story, MC is the ninth dragon prince and ML is the demon elder/god. In the second story, MC is the first dragon prince and ML is one of the demon kings.
There're 2 side CPs, one is between the second dragon prince with a mortal, and the other one is between a demon king and a god.

7. Runaway Guide, ABO Cadets, Interstellar Marriage Guide, and The Movie Emperor's Secret
The first two stories are being translated, and I read the rest via MTL.
Runaway Guide is Xi Wei (O) and Klaire (A)'s story. The side couple is Aiden (O) and Carlo (A). This story set the background for this ABO series. The romance is slow-burn, because Xi Wei thinks of himself as a straight man and is resistant to gay and alpha/omega relationship.
ABO Cadets is Caesar (A, Xi Wei's little brother) and Lin Yuan (O)'s story. There are a few side couples here: Snow and Brian, Rosen and Ling Yu, and Snow's parents. Compared with Runaway Guide, this story was much more complex and full of twists and turns. Besides romance, it's also a war story which has a lot of actions and adventures. The romance is similar to Xi Wei's romance because Lin Yuan always thinks of himself as a straight beta.
Interstellar Marriage Guide is Luo Fei (A, Caesar and Lin Yuan's oldest son) and Mo Lin (O pretending to be A)'s story. The side couple is Imam (O, Brian and Snow's son) and Ludwig (A, Luo Fei's roommate). At first, it's like a real gay romance, alpha pursuing another alpha, but it's still an alpha/omega romance in the end.
The Movie Emperor's Secret is Luo Ning (O, Luo Fei's twin brother) and Qin Yi (A)'s story. The side couple is Benjamin (A, Carlo and Aiden's son) and Lin Xiao Luo (B, Qin Yi's manager). Qin Yi is the movie emperor, and Luo Ning is an author and a scriptwriter. They get married to help each other avoiding arranged marriage, but it's actually a plot hatched by black-bellied Luo Ning who fell in love at first sight with Qin Yi. Qin Yi is the pure alpha type who eventually falls for Luo Ning.
From these four stories, my favorite is the last story because it's different. Luo Ning and Qin Yi, it's omega pursuing alpha (actually, Imam and Ludwig's story, it's Imam who pursues Ludwig), and Benjamin and Lin Xiao Luo are alpha/beta pairing. The story is also a fluffy one with no dangerous intrigue/conspiracy.

8. My Husband is State-appointed
MC is a sweet little red fox and ML is a black-bellied nine-tailed fox. The story is about MC's state-arranged marriage to ML, and it's a fluffy one. ML is actually a nice guy. Even though they get married, but he doesn't immediately "eat" MC; he waits until MC falls in love with him. ML himself has loved the little fox for a long time and in fact requested the demon government to arrange his marriage to MC.
Anyway, through misunderstanding and deception, MC thinks ML is a rooster and always calls him "big chicken". The side CP is MC's rivals-turn-friends in a talent competition, and they're both human, even if one of them can also get pregnant.
